Urgently Required: Senior Mechanical Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title:Senior Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: Project Manager (PPMT)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists the Project Manager (Site) related to mechanical engineering
(rotating machines,pressure vessel,piping etc.) as one of members of the Project Proposal Management Team (PPMT) for Long Term EPC Contract Services for our client in Qatar (herein-after referred to as PROJECT).
2. Is responsible for the following duties in terms of mechanical engineering:
· Coordinating all activities related to execution of individual projects identified by our client in Qatar from time to time between client and Contractor's Project Team for each RFS (Request for Service)
· Assisting our client in Qatar in developing SOW (Scope of Work) & Design
· Development of SP (Service Proposal)
· Develop PEP (Project Execution Plan) & Project Scheduling
3. Closely coordinates with our client inQatar and try to identify the engineering issues which are critical for cost, schedule, quality, operability, safety etc. from the mechanical engineering point of view ,and produce a proposed (recommended)technical solution(basic plan) for our client so that it can lead to RFS.Conducts site survey upon request by the client or with agreement by the client .
4. Requests our firm's home office to develop a detailed proposal to be submitted to the client ,if our firm's home office's expertise is required for consideration of RFS by the client .
5. Coordinates with the our firm's home office for defining SOW,preparing
Service Proposal in the area of mechanical engineering.
6. Gives advices, if requested by the our firm's Project Team(in Qatar) during
Detailed engineering, construction, precommissioning, and commissioning.
7. Coordinates withour firm's home office and RG during detailed engineering,
construction ,precommissioning, and commissioning, if required, Produces a list of applicable specifications for each SO ,and basic requirements as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Experience:
l Planning,coordinating and supervising major component/equipment
engineering and other design activities in oil and gas projects.
l Min.Years in Oil & Gas Industry: 10 years, and 2 years in the position.
l Professional Skills and Competency: Familiar with design codes and standards, GS/DIM/IP's, latest design, engineering, and analytical techniques/software, especially for rotating machinery , pressure vessels and heat exchanger.
